^I have the Band of Gypsies album, I should bust that out again, it's been a long time.


Recently I busted these out again...

^Man, I woulda killed to see this live show. Set one starts with a King Crimson cover, moves into some solo Claypool staples and ends with Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond." Then at the end of that set Les proclaims, "We'll be right back for the second set which is more Pink Floyd than any human should ever have to endure." and the crowd screams. You gotta have both CD sets to appreciate this, because on the second set he then does the ENTIRE album of Pink Floyd's "Animals" front to back, as-is. MAN! I gotta get more Primus and Claypool on wax, this guy is such an incredible bassist.

This is a hodge-podge of different performances from that 3 month period they were doing shows, before Jimmi died (R.I.P). don't break out you r album....wait for the eagle to land.

I'm feeling this girl, Santigold's new album - "Master Of My Make-Believe'....didn't know anything about it until i was diggin' in a rekkid store out on the West Coast in Cali, last week, and they was playing the joint on the speakers - i had to ask who it was. I think it's an interesting album...pretty solid (all but two tracks). I think it's going to be one of my favorite (non-Hip Hop) albums releases of 2012.

Rchecka will be happy to know that Santigold cites the 80's pop group, Devo, is her"ultimate favorite band"....LOL
