BM31 - you are correct on all accounts - excellent album. Truth be told, i gotta thank Rchecka for putting me on to them...and blessing me, years ago with the vinyl. I'd say, musically, they were what the DapTone Records sound is today. i had some friends over and slapped it on..they had never heard of them. one of the dude's went online the next day and copped it. i noticed that there's some sellers on Amazon.com that have it fairly inexpensive.

Jesper,welcome and you cannot go wrong with the late great Eugene Mc Daniels.Pete Rock sampled some of his stuff.
The legendary Gary King was on Electric bass on the Headless album,and Alphonse Mouzon on drums.
That Kool and the Gang album I believe had "I remember John W.Coltrane" as a cut on it.Real smooth...and North,West etc was a funky organ based track.It is interesting that you showed that particular album because that was about 72.Which means their next album would be Wild and Peaceful and you know what happened with that.Kool and The Gang was officially on the map.
