Same here, I love the thrill you get when opening your parcel and discovering a new Grail to add to your collection.

Last night this landed...

Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine Picture Disc (20th Anniversary edition) (Legacy/Epic) OG released in 1992, this issue 2012

^I couldn't resist. I have the Music On Vinyl 180 Gram pressing of this too, which I spent around 48 after shipping for and suddenly this gets the picture disc treatment at a mere 15 bones?! grouch This is a nice loud pressing, and a slightly different vantage point of the picture on the original highly controversial cover art, and a steal of a deal at only 15 bucks. A limited, numbered, no-brainer buy.

Yo Rchecka, nice one on the Rage . I need to cop that shit on vinyl.... My most recent score was a few days ago. I managed to make it out to a Lee Fields show ( in between a 13 and a 15 hour shift at work) . Needless to say , my next day was horrible getting in the house at 1:30 am and showing up to work at 5:30 am . But , the show was great , and I didn't regret it at all. The Right now and the Magnolia Sons were the opening bands , and both put on an amazing show. One of the guys from the Magnolia Sons did a Dj set between performances that blew my mind . All funk and soul 45s , and he had a collection that I believe would make anybody here jealous . Now to the goods.

The Right Now - Carry Me Home lp . This was their first album , and sad to say , not a very good one. It has a few good moments , but just did t really do it for me. I can see where they were going with this one , but they didn't quite make it in my opinion .
The Right Now - Gets Over You lp. Their second album. This one is a whole other story. I truely enjoyed this album. Very soulful with some funk thrown in for good measure. I recommend this one over the first.
The Right Now - If I Wanted To / I Am Who I Say I Am 45 . A Great few songs. Has the spark of the second album.

The Magnolia Sons - Free 10"
The Magnolia Sons - That Jewel Of Mine / How Ya Holdin' Up 45
The Magnolia Sons - Baby That's You / I Wanna Be Your Guy 45
I really enjoyed this band live , and I love the vinyl. But , I have to say , that I probably would have never picked it up had I not went to the show. Their music is a mix of what I like to call 70s happy rock , soul , and doo-wop .

Lee Fields & The Expressions - My World lp . Copped an autograph!! I'm sure most of you here are familiar with this album , so I won't go into detail, but if you don't know about it , you are missing out ! As for the live show , BEST live show I've seen in years. The Expressions are an amazing live band. An extremely talented bunch of musicians. And Lee Fields somehow managed to sound better live than he does on wax. They also gave two encores. If they come through your town, you're a sucker if you miss it!!! Now for the disappointing part . The opening band all excepted cards at the merch table, but Lee Fields could only take cash. There was a lot more of his music and also Truth&Soul label mate's music that I wanted to cop , but I only had $20.00 in cash , and the ATM was recently removed from the venue while they were doing renovations . So , since I had passed my copy of My World on to my brother-in- law, I had to grab it again. I just wish I had more cash to spend...
