The Passage - For All and None LP

UK post-punk from the early 80s, and this band is quite weird. At times it's almost like a more melodic, keyboard/organ driven version of the Fall (which were heavy on that at times) but then the album as a whole comes off as some type of weird concept album. Think amateur political theatre as a musical, if you will.

Superdrag- In the valley of dying stars

I am a big BIG Superdrag fan. I'm not so sure this is my fav from them though although it is fucking great imo. This is from 2000 on Arena Rock and has never been re-issued so unfortunately it's pretty steep if you want it now. The lp sounds great. Parts of it sound like classic superdrag 90's alt but then it has some mellower twangy parts. Which I love equally. The twangy sound they kept for awhile after this sorta makes an introduction here.

^I very vaguely recall that band but don't remember them too well. Will have to check the clip a bit later.

Red Lorry Yellow Lorry - Smashed Hits (Red Rhino) LP

80s post-punk/goth rock from Leeds. These guys had a pretty jagged sound on these early tracks compiled here. Several tracks are basically pounding noise rock. This copy here is an old 80s pressing on Red Rhino. From what I've heard, all the master tapes of 80s Red Rhino bands were destroyed or lost. This is why latter day reissues of bands formerly on the label are taken from needledrops - definitely not ideal for decent sound, even if this stuff was recorded with DIY production values. A very consistent listen overall, even though I would say the first full LP from this band (Talk About the Weather) is the best thing they've done.

I have another pressing on Drastic Plastic which I DO NOT recommend. Not only was it taken from a compromised source, but it was pressed horribly off-center. Drastic doesn't seem to want to stand by their products either or even respond to customers in an organized fashion, which is why I probably will never give them a dime of my money ever again. Rant over.

^I got a Ministry reissue on drastic plastic, it was horrible. I sold it the next day at a big loss, so I'm not gonna make that mistake again.
