Joe Tex - I Gotcha LP

Not really that familiar with Joe Tex, but this was a cheap impulse buy. Sounding pretty good so far.

^Joe Tex has some killer rare (and not so rare) funky 45s.

^Come to think of it, I'll have to check some of my Northern Soul CD comps, because those might have a Joe Tex track or two. The guy at the record store said the title track to this LP is in Reservoir Dogs, but I haven't seen that film in a LONG time.

Bobby Womack - Communication LP

One of my favorite 70s soul LPs. I think Womack was very skilled at doing very unique interpretations of popular songs that most people wouldn't give second thought to. The backing band on this record (Muscle Shoals) is also amazing.

Took me awhile to get around to it, but I did get a copy of that Sure Fire Soul Ensemble album. It is great. Thanks jaybrown for posting it here. I wonder if they are planning on putting out a second album eventually?
