Never even knew this existed. I'll have to check the used bins for that at some point. The first track sounded pretty interesting.

This weekend...

Garage Á Trois* ‎– Always Be Happy, But Stay Evil LP (The Royal Potato Family) 2011

^Stunning album. Proof positive not to judge an album by it's cover. Found this in my local shop with the old price tags of $16.99 crossed off until it ended on $8.99. Looked it up on discogs, noticed the high reviews, took a chance.

Best album I've bought on a whim in years. This is a super group with massive amounts of instruments that cannot be classified into any kind of genre box. The closest thing I can conjure up for a genre this falls under is indie and maybe college rock but "rock" is even limiting. Sure, they rock, but they also jazz, they do everything. They do more than just jam on and on, each song is carefully crafted and thick as lava. After listening to this album back to back 2x in a row (which I never do) I knew I'd be seeking more from this lovable oddball mega combo.

I'll post one song but don't let this fool you, its a tiny sliver of a piece of this puzzle.

That sounds pretty cool. There's just not enough vibraphone in music these days. Glad to see these guys making good use of it.

^^ agreed on all points . That clip sounds great Rchecka !! And there definitely is a deficit of the vibraphone in music these days .
