^Grab the free FLAC or WAV download from Bandcamp, then burn that to a CD for the full soundquality. I agree the youtube clip isn't so hot.

Handsome - S/T LP + 7''

1997 post-hardcore "supergroup" album by a band featuring ex-members of Iceburn, Quicksand, Helmet, and Cro-Mags. Not really as heavy as any of those groups at their hardest, but this is a good album if you like the more melodic side of this type of sound. This was one of those bands that was signed to a major during the whole post-grunge feeding frenzy and it just didn't work out. The group disbanded before finishing a second album. Reportedly they had some tracks recorded and demos in the pipeline that were even better than anything on this album, but I have not heard those. Maybe someday they will be released.

My copy is the 2013 reissue on SRC vinyl.

Swirlies - Strictly East Coast Sneaky Flute Music / They Spent Their Wild Youthful Days In The Glittering World Of The Salons 2xLP

90s U.S. Indie rock midway between shoegazery type stuff and noise pop. I like this band but haven't delved deeply into their discography. This 2xLP is a comp of the band's "remixes" album and their second LP. Some of the remixes are more interesting than others but the real highlight here is the second LP from 1995. Compared to what UK bands were doing in the 90s these guys had a different take on the style that I find unique and refreshing (i.e. they're not trying to sound British). I also think this album is a bit more cohesive and accessible than the more acclaimed "Blondertongueaudiobaton".

Note that right now you can grab this album dirt cheap (I paid around $7 shipped for my copy), so if you don't have it and like this style of music, I'd recommend grabbing it.

Where did you get this LM? It's really cool, and 7 bucks is my kinda deal. Their merch page is down, did you buy it direct?

I got it from Amazon. Looks like the price shot up, it was pretty cheap for while. You can still get it cheap from the label, Taang!, but I don't recommend ordering from them because my experiences in the past have been very mixed. Try Discogs maybe?
