^Sounds like drone music at least the long intro does.

I like Drone music. But not on a Wednesday morning when I'm feeling like a drone. I need a coffee refill fast. ((needcoffee))

Yeah, I thought about putting this under the ambient/drone thread but decided against it after listening last night. It's way too noisy and varied for that. It's basically more in the realm of post-industrial.

Esplendor Geometrico - Arispejal Astisaro + 2xLP

Legendary cult industrial group from Spain with a highly rhythmic sound. This isn't dance music though. This is a reissue of an album from 1993 that was actually made up of recordings from '88-89. There is a version that came with a bonus 7'' but mine did not.

I'll have to look for Arispejal Astisaro. The only one of Esplendor Geometrico's records I have right now is Sheikh Aljama, which is just great.

Welcome to the forum! Yes, Sheikh is great too. EG has a lot of great albums. I probably have half a dozen of their releases, mostly on CD and enjoy them all. That's really only a small chunk of their huge catalog though, which I need to explore more deeply. Their label also had some interesting releases by other artists during the 80s and 90s that are worth looking into (many OOP unfortunately).

Gordon, if you want to do an introduction, feel free to do it on this thread:
