Definitely true. Symbolic is one of the all time metal greats. I've listened to that one so much, I think it's permanently engraved in my brain, and I still can't get enough of it.

For me this morning ..

Various Artsists - Dirty French Psychedelics lp . A beautiful compilation of jazzy , funky , slightly psych French music spanning from the 70s to the 90s . If you need to relax , this comp is the perfect soundtrack .






Next we had ..

Hiatus Kaiyote - Choose Your Weapon 2lp . More chilled out vibes here . Jazzy future soul band from Australia . Kinda like if Erykah Badu took a beautiful but weird turn in her career . I hate to use someone else as a comparison as they are totally different , but it was what first came to mind when I listened to this album . Either way , I'm diggin this band and need to cop their first album.






Last but definitely not least..

Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics - Its About Time lp . I believe that this is probably the third time I've posted this album on here , but it's definitely worthy . Modern soul with an old school feel . The content of the album runs the gamut from growing up , to love and love lost , to addressing social issues . I wish this band would make more of a name for themselves as this album is amazing , and their live show is somehow better . I actually went to see them on a gut feeling and had never heard a single track . One of my better decisions back then . I am still patiently awaiting a second album .
