CAD - Tazky Kov

Heavy, crusty hardcore from Eastern Europe. They have a newer album out that it also very good but I haven't seen it stateside yet, just on their Bandcamp page.

I don't know much about this record or Buddy Terry in general. Got this several months ago. I found another album by him that I bought at random, liked it, then found this a few weeks later while flipping through racks at another store. Parts of it are kinda funky, then it goes into long improve sections. Like a lot of 70s jazz, probably underappreciated somewhat.

Biosphere - N-Plants

I got into Biosphere in the late 90s/early 2000s with albums like Cirque and Substrata. Unfortunately I've not kept up with his work since then, which is a shame, because this album from 2011 is really good. If you don't know Biosphere, think ambient music that is minimalist and lush at the same time, with subtle hints of rhythm here and there. I don't know who pressed this, but it was made in Germany and the quality of the records themselves is damn good. Very quiet, flat vinyl. Totally different from the norm with newer records these days I guess.

Roedelius - Durch Die Wuste

Most people have probably heard this guy's work from Cluster/Kluster. If you like those groups, you will like this. Most of it has kind of an odd, semi-creepy vibe, and the LP is pretty much all instrumental, which is fine. If you've never heard Cluster/Kluster, imagine the more experimental tracks from Bowie's Berlin period. I'm sure both Bowie and Eno were influenced by that stuff.

^I have some Cluster, Eno, Roedlius albums so I know exactly what you mean by that. Eno worked closely with those guys on quite a few of these Ambient albums so they were all highly influenced by each other. I'm kind of an Eno completionist so I know about them through the default of buying Eno. I don't know what it is by weird creepy music but I usually like that kind of stuff.
