Rchecka,

Do you the s/t album by Liaisons Dangereuses? They were one of the earliest and best EBM bands, and their LP has held up very well. There was a reissue last year that I bought. It's been in and out of print for years, so I'd grab it soon if you don't have it.

^No I don't know about that, but from the sounds of it I'm sure I'll love it. Good recordmendation man.thumbs up

Right now...

Sonic Youth - Peel Sessions 1986-1988 LP (Sonic Youth) Unknown Release Year

^This is bootleggy looking but not at all bootleggy sounding. Great comp of Peel session recordings.

Day dreaming but how cool would it be to have every Peel Session ever made?

^^ love Sonic Youth !! Every time I see a SY album though , it really makes me hate Pearl Jam more and more ...
I guess an explanation is in order . So back in 2001 , me and an ex got tickets to Pearl Jam and Sonic Youth was opening for them . At that Point , I was sick to death of Pearl Jam , but still loved Sonic Youth . I had also never seen Sonic Youth live . My ex felt like she couldn't go to the show without some halucenagenics . Not that I was against that then , but time was short . We spent a lot of time trying to hunt them down , and the whole time I'm saying , "Let's get to the show , I need to see Sonic Youth "!!! The search for goodies was to no avail , and right as I got into the venue , Sonic Youth was walking off stage sad smiley To make things worse , Eddie Vedder was drunk and couldn't seem to remember the words to his own songs . Pearl Jam sucked that night ...

That surprises me about Pearl Jam sucking but it shouldn't. Everyone has a bad show, I'm sure Eddy Veddar is no exception.

IMO they still haven't dropped an album as good as Ten.

Sonic Youth would be a great show, I don't blame you for being irked about that. I really need a lot more of their shit, they are truly unique.

Re: Sonic Youth, I tend to think their best stuff was in the 80s and the quality (or more accurately what I find personally appealing) drops off quite a bit after that. The only album of theirs after the 80s that I really like is Washing Machine. Some of their later work is just horrendously bad, IMHO.

Re: Pearl Jam, I think a lot of people just got burned out on them from. I mean, how many times was Jeremy played on MTV and the radio during the 90s? You really couldn't get away from it and that's probably the reason I've never owned anything by the band. I'm honestly surprised the group has stayed together this long and is still making albums for a very niche fanbase.
