@ Rchecka, PM me if you want to check out some Jam stuff.

Re: Tyrone Davis, I have a bunch of 60s and 70s soul stuff. Definitely no expert in that area, but I dig it.

Caravan - For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night

60s/70s Canterbury Scene band. Definitely not your typical "prog" type sound, this is as much as a psychedelic pop record as anything else. Maybe not their absolute best album but worth grabbing if you find it out in the wild for a good price.

The Gun Club - Pastoral Hide & Seek + Divinity

5th album by this legendary band, reissued with a contemporary half studio/half live EP as bonus tracks. This definitely mellower than the critically acclaimed Fire of Love, so if you want fast/loud, probably not the best Gun Club album to go with. That said, I probably reach for this one and Mother Juno way more lately than anything else by the band...

Donny Hathaway - Everything is Everything

Legendary late 60s/early 70s soul artist. Not much else to day. This disc is from one of these "Original Album Series" sets that seem to be pervasive now that CD sales have tanked. Lots of labels are offering some variation on this theme nowadays, sometimes I pick them up for $10. Great way to get a lot of music when your budget is tight. I grabbed this one even though I already had two of the discs in the set because it was so cheap.

Holly Golightly - The Good Things

One of the bigger names in indie garage rock. I saw her live maybe a little over ten years ago and her sound had evolved quite a bit from this album to an almost country-ish, bluesy sound. This album is more straightforward garage rock, but without the 70s and 80s punk influences that so many latter day garage bands took to the extreme. The sound is more based on R&B and 60s beat groups, lots of midtempo songs. Good stuff.
