Paul Schutze - Apart

Listened to the first half of this double album of ambient music recently. I have a bunch of Schutze stuff but just got around to this one. Not much to say, other than he was a heavyweight of the 90s underground ambient scene, often associated with post-industrial type music or the short-lived "isolationism" thing. Much of his catalog is now OOP, but he has a Bandcamp page with most of his catalog for sale. I've bought a few albums from him that way to fill gaps in my collection, including this one.

Huge Jam fan, but I'll have to say I have found it a bit more difficult to get into Weller as a soloist. There are a few like from the floor boards up and come on/lets go but overall, I have had some trouble. I should give his stuff another go. I have catch-flame! Maybe I'll throw that on tonight.

Tyrone Davis - Can I Change My Mind

An upbeat, semi-obscure, Northern-Soul-ish LP from the late 60s. Bought this on a whim because a local store had a sealed copy on the wall for a good price. Turned out to be a good move. This is great.

Lama - Ja Mik Atilde Ei Muuttunut

Finnish HC/Punk here.

This is a compilation of Lama's early 7'' singles and EPs. While I don't think it is quite as powerful as the band's LP material, it's very good. These songs sort of tread the line between traditional early 80s hardcore and less speedy (though still uptempo) punk rock.

^^@Boombat and Whyaduck I guess I gotta start checking the Jam's stuff a little closer. I've read a lot of good feeback on them but never really investigated further.

@LM, nice change-up with the Tyrone Davis - Can I Change My Mind recommendation. I got a few bad Tyrone Davis singles that definitely isn't one of them.thumbs up
