This sounds quite nice. I think most jazz fusion fans would be interested in it. Have to add that to the wishlist.

Alice Coltrane - Translinear Light
Impulse!, 2004

Alice Coltrane's final album was a stunning return to spiritual jazz after more than two decades away, during which she concentrated on founding and guiding a community based on eastern teachings.

She is joined on this album by two of her sons, Oran and Ravi, the latter of which also served as the producer for this album. There are two tracks written by her late husband, the inimitable John Coltrane, four traditionals, and five original compositions. This is just stellar music and serves as a fitting epitaph to one of the true pioneers of jazz in the latter half of the 20th century.

That first track sounded great. I'd buy that for sure. I think as listeners we often dismiss late career albums unfairly...

Miroslav Vitous - Infinite Search LP

Here is a great early 70s jazz album I was unaware of until recently. Miroslav is a bass player from the Czech Republic that you've probably heard on Weather Report records. This album is a bit different than Weather Report though, not as straight up fusion and heading more toward the avant-garde at times. The supporting cast here are all big names I don't need to mention. If you like jazz, you need this album, period. My copy is the 2016 reissue on Pure Pleasure. It's cut directly from the analog master tape and sounds great. Note that if you are looking for this album in the wild it can be a bit confusing because it was reissued under a few different titles over the years.

Paul Serrano Quintet - Blues Holiday LP

Here is a nice example of where crate-digging for lesser known jazz gems works out. I'd never heard of Serrano, but my thought process was as follows:

Cool cover? Check.

Riverside Records? Check, classic label

Lineup? Pete La Roca on drums, this has to be good...

Back cover notes? A Cannonball Adderley Production...okay, I'm probably going to just buy this.

Dropped the needle at the shop to confirm, and it's energetic hard bop on the first track. Nice. Played the record after an RCM clean and the whole album is solid. Pick this one up if you run across it. My copy is in mono, but there is a stereo version as well.
