^Hahah, yeah, all his covers are creepy. There were four albums under the Fad Gadget name and they're all great IMHO. Here are the other two I have on vinyl. I'm missing the debut on wax but I've got them all on CD also. Frank Tovey also made some records under his own name but I've not heard those.

Nick Cave - From Her to Eternity LP

Not much explanation is needed here I think. Nick Cave's first album, still some of my favorite stuff by him. This is one of the U.S. reissues from last year that was pressed at United. I know some people had issues (non-fill, bad pressings in general) with some of the reissues in this series and opted to send back their U.S. copies for European ones. My particular copy seems okay overall. The edges of the record aren't even and smooth like they should be, which often happens with cheaper plants like United and Rainbo. No big deal, but if you can get the European editions at a reasonable price, you might want to go with those. The download card includes a FLAC download, which I thought was a nice touch.

^I haven't really made up my mind about Nick Cave. There's something about his voice that I dislike. I bought his newest album a while back and honestly I thought it was fairly forgettable, played it 2 times and I felt like I was force feeding it to myself on the second play. Some of his earlier stuff is not bad, but there's definitely something about his voice that I dislike that basically overpowers what I do like about his style.

Yeah, voices are a very personal thing w/r/t taste. I've always liked his voice but I tend to lean toward his early albums mostly and have only heard a few of the albums from the 90s and beyond. Have not heard his latest record. His style has changed up quite a bit over the years. My favorite of his solo albums is probably "Your Funeral, My Trial". If you don't like that or the Birthday Party's "Junkyard" album, I'd maybe say Nick Cave just isn't for you.
