This morning ..

Atomic Forest - Obsession 2lp . This is a super dope Now Again compilation of AF's work . They are a Indian psych band from the 70s . This album runs the gamut from tripped out fuzz ,to psych/funk , and has a few very chilled out almost folky moments too . The drumming on this is amazing ! I picked up a used copy . My copy is not in the shrink which has the sticker with the name of the album on it, so I put the book that comes with the album in font on the pic to show who it was . I had seen this album a million times and was always interested , glad I finally bit !! I highly recommend this one . My only complaint would be the jacket construction . It's a little tight and stiff . This has caused a little seam splitting on my copy , but don't let that scare you away from this album if you don't own it .

That Atomic Forest LP sounds pretty cool. Never heard of these guys before, but I like those two tracks. Another one for my endless wantlist.

I've been wanting Atomic Forest for a long time. Seems to be sold out every time I spot it on DGA. While for the most part I've strayed from Stones Throw, it's sub labels like Now Again are undeniably dope. Run by Egon who I think frankly has a better ear for catalog selection than Peanut Butter Wolf. Another good sub label of Stones Throw is Leaving Records. They have been making a great deal of low budget lo fi productions that are hi quality.
