^Interesting, glad you liked that second disc 2 man. I figured that band would be up your alley.

I'm listening to the Icicle Works now, never heard of them but I really like it so far.

The Globetrotters - The Globetrotters LP (Kirshner Records) 1970

^Easily one of my favorite and most funky of my funk records. While it's modeled after the cartoon show in the 70s this is surprisingly grown up funk music. Solid listen all the way thru.

The pop-up gatefold record's hand got ripped off by the previous owner, worried but the music is so good and the vinyl was in such great shape that I feel lucky to have it priced right. After all, technically it's a kids record, and you never find them in good shape.

Love Spit Love - Self-Titled

This is one of those bargain bin CDs that gets unfairly passed over these days but deserves more attention. The band is actually made up of 3 former members of the Psychedelic Furs, but the sound eschews a lot of the synths and slickness of the latter day Furs and instead goes for a 90s rock sound. Oddly enough it works, and I dig the mellower songs as much as the more rocked out ones.

Love Battery - Dayglo

Probably one of the most underrated albums on Sub Pop these days, I'm not sure it's even in print ATM. Like the band Seaweed, they probably get dismissed as "just another grunge band" by most younger listeners these days but are really something else entirely.

Svart Sno - Nemesis Divina CD

This CD was a real PITA to track down a few years back. I ended up getting it from a distro in Poland. I don't think these guys are very well known outside of Sweden as their only real domestic U.S. release was their final LP and that didn't seem to get too much attention.

Svart Sno were an 80s/90s hardcore punk band from Sweden and their sound is midway between the semi-melodic trallpunk style of Asta Kask/Puke and more aggressive hardcore. This is probably the most aggressive album they've done, but I actually think the band improved over time a bit.

Kiln - Holo CD

Mellow mix of ambient electronics and acoustic instruments, no vocals or lyrics to speak of. Later on, these guys would end up doing some albums for a bigger label, but this album has a special charm to me. The label that put it out was actually an offshoot of one of my favorite record stores which is now closed. Unfortunately it's out of print, but the band has put out a reworked version of the album via their bandcamp page.
