Toxic Reasons - Independence LP

Damn! I saw these guys play in Atlanta back in '88. Awesome band!

Are you close to Atlanta ??

I live way down in Southwest Florida and split my time between here and central Texas these days. Back then I was in college in Knoxville, and would go down to Atlanta on weekends to catch shows. I still have some old friends that live around there and get by to see them once or twice a year.

Negazione - The Wild Bunch - The Early Days CD

Probably one of the more well known Italian hardcore bands of the 80s these days. This disc gathers up two 7'' EPs and a split LP/Tape with Declino (another band worth checking out). Musically there aren't too many surprises but occasionally they get very discordant and the vocals sound generally unhinged most of the time. After this they would record a great debut LP that was a bit more straightforward.

Unfortunately the only vid I could find is a thin sounding needledrop. If you seek out the actual record or CD of this collection, it will sound significantly better.

^^ gotcha . I'm in Nashville and spent a lot of my late teens and early twenties in Atlanta checking out shows . I lived in Fort Myers for a while , but Florida wasn't the place for me ..

Contropotere - Nessuna Speranza Nessuna Paura CD

Discogs Page

This is a CD reissue of this Italian punk band's second album, originally a self-released cassette from 1988. Contropotere are not like other Italian punk bands from the 80s. Instead of straightforward hardcore, the band intersperses their sound with elements outside of punk, and creates long, drawn out songs (some up to 9 minutes long). The vocals are both male and female, and from what I gather the band is politically motivated lyrically.
