This almost reminds you of the days when Metallica were a good band making good music...

Yeah, there was a time. Metal can be a tricky thing to do as you get older IMO, it's more of a young man's sport. But yes, back at that show they had the fire in their gut.

^The only MDC albums I've ever heard are their first two, and it's been years since I heard those. Beer City has done some cool reissues for sure. How would you rate this one in MDC's catalog?

Millions of Dead Cops was a great first album and will always be my favorite . Metal Devil Cokes holds up to any other album in their catalog in my opinion . Once I heard John Wayne Was A Nazi , I knew that the Millions Of Dead Cops album would always stand out to me . I know in the scheme of things that's probably not their best song by far , but still my favorite and the reason I started listening to MDC . I do need to get the dead cops album on vinyl though ....

Lip Cream - Kill Ugly Pop CD

80s Hardcore punk from Japan, definitely legendary as far as this kind of stuff goes. This is hardcore, but the band has a unique take on things and is far from generic. After this album the band would crank up the speed and get a lot thrashier but this is their best and most interesting album IMHO.

Side note: I bought this CD (only issued in Japan) a few years back from a tiny U.S. distro run by one guy that used to take trips to Japan to gather vinyl and CDs to sell. Of course I bought what I could at the time but couldn't get everything I wanted. The distro isn't around anymore and a bunch of the stuff he used to sell goes for very high prices now.
