David Parsons - Himalaya

Discogs Page

New age ambient circa 1989. Made primarily from synths, but with some organic elements as well. Might be too cheesy for some, but I love this.

That's some good stuff. The mid to late 80s were a great time for New Age. Fortuna was one of the better labels back then.

Admittedly I used to avoid anything related to New Age like the plague for a long time. It wasn't until a couple years ago that I started to slowly explore the more New Age side of ambient. There's some good stuff out there. I'm not super familiar with Fortuna other than they put out some Steve Roach releases, some of which got reissued on Projekt or his own label.

The track you posted doesn't sound like my typical idea of new age music . It doesn't make me feel like I should be in a spa getting a massage and facial like most new age music

The Prisoners - A Taste of Pink

Debut album from a UK garage rock/mod revival band circa '82. Not much to say other than the first 3 albums by this band are all worth getting.
