^ Recently came across a sealed copy of this for a couple bucks that I couldn't leave behind but I haven't checked it out yet. Look forward to it though.

Wow , some great posts lately !!
Last night I bumped an album from this year , but with a back in the day sound .

Florian Pellissier Quartet - Cap De Bonne Esperance 2lp . Beautiful modern jazz with a 60s / 70s spiritual sound . I typically try to find a little funk in my jazz albums , but this couldn't be any further from that with the exception of one track . Mostly laid back instrumentation with one vocal track . Definitely a great album to kick back and chill out too!!

Sun Ra - Lanquidity LP

Another one from Rchecka. I like Sun Ra a lot but my collection isn't that extensive, perhaps maybe 10-12 albums. This has got to be one of the most accessible recordings I've heard from him, but it still retains an experimental edge. Great album.

Bill Evans - Trio/Duo 2xLP

Another Bill Evans 2xLP set today. This is a budget 70s reissue of two 60s LPs - "Trio '64" and "Intermodulation". Gorgeous stuff, definitely on the lighter side of jazz from the 60s, but well worth picking up. The pressing itself is alright, not bad, not great. This can usually be had so cheaply I can let that go somewhat.

Lumen Drones - s/t

So I've been listening to this pretty consistently since it came out a couple of years ago. I only have it as FLAC, the only physical release was on CD. That's a shame, too. ECM gets shit on a lot these days, but to my ears they still consistently put out some pretty interesting music.

Nils Økland: fiddles
Per Steinar Lie: guitars
Ørjan Haaland: drums

All these guys are pretty active in the European jazz scene. Nils Økland, especially, has a ton of stuff out there. If anyone is a fan of jazz violin, check this guy out.
