^^ pretty much the same for me . I have some Ella , Billie Holiday , and Sarah Vaughan . But the last 2 albums I posted have sounded really good to me , so I may pursue this a little . I really don't know who to seek out though . That Martha Davis had a cover that caught my eye , but i saw an Anita O'day video that made me curious about her .

^^ this was the video . Her sound was just different enough to pique my interest .

^Do you have anything by Julie London? I only recently started listening to her, really good stuff. Her early albums aren't hard to find on vinyl, but when you do find them, they are usually trashed.

I opted for this CD, which is great:

It's just her accompanied by guitar. Really gorgeous.

Copped another very inexpensive recent reissue that I'm not sure why I didn't have before now .

Dom Um Romao Self-titled lp . Although I'm still fumbling around the many styles and sounds of Brazilian music , I think this is what great Brazilian jazz should sound like . I'm too much of a novice in the genre to make comparisons , but highly recommend picking this up . This reissue sounds great considering it cost me $10 sealed ..

^Dunno that one but looks cool. Stanley Clarke on there I see, and it was originally released on Muse Records. Muse did some cool stuff. I only have one LP (a great LP by Bill Barron) from them but I am keeping any eye out for more when I can. That reissue looks like a Scorpio pressing, which would make sense considering it was only $10. Doesn't look like this was issued on CD ever either, so that would be the main way to get it if you couldn't find an old copy.
